My name is Mala. Welcome to my blog, Momchakra.com. I live in India with my husband of 10 years and my sweet 4-year-old son.
Before my son was born, I worked full-time as an Instructional Designer (ID) for 10 years at several high-profile companies, including General Electric. Five years ago, I quit my full-time role because of a difficult pregnancy. But my work brings me immense joy and I did not want to stop working completely. So, I switched gears to become a freelance ID and content writer. In these 15 years, I have created several hundred hours of content as well as online (eLearning/eCourse) and offline courses (classroom training) for Fortune 500 companies as well as publishing houses and educational institutions. But, something was missing.
I wanted to do more. I did not want to be restricted by the protocols and processes of companies that were benefiting from my services.
Thus was born, Momchakra.com. A platform made by a working mom for other working moms. Moms who adore their family life but feel they have more to give. Moms who want to add value to other moms’ lives through their work.
On Momchakra, I will share with you the knowledge I have gained and best practices I have learned in the last 15 years. Among other things, I will most often write about:
- Content creation
- Audience retention
- Systems and processes
- Time management
- Work wellness
As I grow my blog, I will also share my learnings related to my blog’s growth.
While the examples I use are usually geared towards working moms (if you own a blog and update it regularly, you work!), anybody can benefit from my articles.
While I still continue to freelance for an organization, I am slowly scaling down and focusing entirely on growing Mom Chakra. With your support, I hope to reach many more moms and help them grow their content business.
